Monday: Metro SafeTrack Surge to Impact Orange, Silver Lines
To continue to reduce the potential for gridlock, Fairfax County is urging commuters to telework and use flexible work schedules.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 28 through Dec. 21, Orange and Silver Line riders will be affected by SafeTrack Surge #11, according to the Fairfax County Department of Transportation.
Metrorail Orange Line trains will continuously single track between West Falls Church and East Falls Church, and trains will arrive and depart from only one platform at East Falls Church. With service being cut by two-thirds, WMATA is very strongly advising that people may not be able to get on a train in Arlington due to crowding, and are asking riders to divert.
Residents, visitors and others who travel via Metrorail and on any of the major corridors within Fairfax County including I-66, I-495, Dulles Toll Road, and I-95, will be impacted by the track work. To continue to reduce the potential for gridlock, Fairfax County is urging commuters to telework and use flexible work schedules whenever possible, and encouraging the use of alternate ways to commute that do not involve driving alone.
