Police Search for Suspect in BB&T Robbery

Officers say man acted alone in Tuesday incident

Vienna Police released information Wednesday in their search for a suspect they say is connected to Tuesday's robbery of the BB&T Bank on Cedar Lane.

Officers An investigation determined a lone suspect had exited the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, approximately 5’8” tall, wearing a wool hat, dark-colored jacket, dreadlocks, with mud smeared on his face. Police say the man entered the bank and presented a note demanding money from a teller. Nobody inside the bank was injured as a result of the robbery. A weapon was implied but not displayed.

The Fairfax County Police Department’s K-9 unit, several patrol units and the helicopter unit responded to aid in the tracking of the individual, but he was not found.
