Resident Gets Upset Over Noise from Children Playing Outside: Vienna Police
Police say the man took off a shoe and threw it at children and poured the contents of a juice box on a child.

VIENNA, VA -- Police say a local resident got upset because children were playing outside and making noise. The man who got upset started yelling at the children, flung his shoe off his foot at them and poured a juice box on a child, according to police. The incident took place on Park Terrace Court in Vienna. Police say prosecution was declined.

INCIDENTS
Animal Case 16-009330 Vienna Dog Park 700 Courthouse Road SW October 29 2:45 p.m. Two dogs got into a fight at the dog park and one of the dogs bit a citizen. Since the dog owners live outside of the Town of Vienna limits Fairfax County Animal Control was notified of the incident.

Animal Case 16-009356 Vienna Veterinarian Hospital 531 Maple Avenue West November 1 12:00 p.m. A dog that bit a baby was euthanized. The dog’s remains were submitted to the health department for rabies testing.
Police Service 16-009438 Jade Court NW and Knoll Street NW November 4 10:31 a.m. A town resident walked into the police station and turned in a clear plastic bag containing suspected marijuana that he found on the ground.
Police Service 16-009434 Patrick Street SE November 4 6:56 a.m. Resident contacted the police department and requested assistance with a juvenile who refused to go to school.
Police Service 16-009493 Kingsley Road SW November 5 4:44 p.m. A resident called the police because they were concerned for the welfare of an adult son. Their son had left the residence prior to police arriving on scene.
Animal Case 16-009545 Kingsley Road and Cottage Street SW November 7 1:30 p.m. A black and brown husky was reported running at large. Animal Control Officer Barker collected and transported the animal to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
Arrest – Drunk In Public 16-009590 Center Street North November 9 5:16 p.m. A citizen reported that a Hispanic male was sleeping in the stairwell of a building. Officer Bulti was able to make contact with a 40-year-old Hispanic male. Officer Bulti determined that the Hispanic male was intoxicated and arrested him for being drunk in public.
Domestic Dispute 16-009594 Patrick Street SE November 9th 8:08 p.m. Police were requested for a verbal dispute between a husband and wife. The wife agreed to leave for the night.
Suspicious Event 16-009610 Wolf Trap Hotel 430 Maple Avenue West November 10 2:00 p.m. Officers responded to the listed area for a customer refusing to leave the hotel after an employee asked him to leave the property. After officers spoke with the customer, he agreed to leave the hotel. The customer was officially trespassed from hotel.
Petit Larceny 16-009615 Cedar Lane Shopping Center 262 Cedar Lane SE November 10 5:00 p.m. A town resident reported that one of his license plates was stolen from his parked truck.
Civil Dispute 16-009645 Kindercare 437 Knoll Street NW November 11 1:45pm An employee was concerned about legal custody between the parents of a child. After talking with the parents the disagreement was resolved.
Suspicious Event 16-009674 Orchard St NW November 12 8:26 p.m. Two citizens went out for dinner and had an argument. Once they returned to their residence one of the citizens got upset because her apology was not accepted and she called the police.
Suspicious Event 16-009688 Patrick St SE November 12 7:30 p.m. A Town resident reported that an unknown subject using a key attempted to enter her apartment.
Noise Complaint 16-009695 Park Street NE November 13 2:53 a.m. A Town resident reported motorcycles revving their engines somewhere on Mill Street NE. Officer Slebonick checked the area and was not able to hear any noise violations.
Arrest – Shoplifting/Drunk In Public 16-009708 Rexall Drug Store 150 Maple Avenue West November 13 12:07 p.m. An employee of the store reported that a female subject attempted to steal some items from the store. While interviewing the subject Officer Rohr noticed that the subject was heavily intoxicated and arrested her for being drunk in public.
Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated, Driving After Forfeiture of License and Possession of
Schedule II and IV Substances 16-009720 Beulah Road and Church Street, NE November 14 12:30 a.m. Officer Reedy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with defective equipment. During the stop Officer Reedy determined subject was intoxicated and in possession of controlled substances. The man was arrested for DWI, Driving After Forfeiture of License and Possession of Schedule II and IV Substances.
Animal Case 16-009723 Hope Center 140 Park Street SE November 14 5:30 p.m. A dog got into a fight with a raccoon. The dog was treated at the hope center and sent home. The case was referred to Fairfax county animal control for follow up since the owner lives outside of the town of Vienna limits.
Suspicious Event 16-009730 Giant Food 359 Maple Avenue East November 14 2:55 p.m. An employee wanted to report two separate incidents in the last month where customers threatened him and he felt unsafe at his workplace.
Grand Larceny 16-009728 Country Club Drive NE November 14 12:40 p.m. A town resident reported that while he did some work in a neighbor’s yard someone stole two leaf blowers from the bed of his truck. The victim’s truck was parked in front of his home.
Bad Check 16-009769 Capital One Bank 246 Maple Avenue East November 16 2:13 p.m. A customer attempted to cash a check. The bank employee became suspicious and attempted to verify the check. The customer left prior to police arrival.
Emotionally Disturbed Person 16-009777 Cottage Street SW November 16 5:55 p.m. The parents of the resident were concerned for his mental state and asked mobile crisis to respond to that location for a mental evaluation. Mobile Crisis requested a police officer to assist them with this case. It was determined by mobile crisis unit that the resident needed more medical assistance and he was taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital.
Traffic Stop/Assist Emergency Medical Services 16-009782 Maple Avenue West and James Madison Drive November 17 1:00pm During a traffic stop for an expired registration, Officer Reedy noticed that one of the back seat passengers was extremely intoxicated. An ambulance was requested and the subject was transported to Fairfax hospital for treatment.
Shoplifting 16-009785 7-Eleven 537 Maple Avenue West November 17 2:57 a.m. A subject attempted to steal some cookies from McDonalds. The subject was located across the street at the 7-Eleven. An employee at the 7-11 advised that the subject had stolen a pair of headphones from their store a few minutes prior to police arrival. The subject returned the headphones and was officially trespassed from the store. The victim did not want to prosecute the subject.
Assist Emergency Medical Services 16-009786 Maple Avenue East and Westbriar Drive NE November 17 3:13 a.m. During a traffic stop the driver advised that she was on her way to the Tyson’s Urgent Care because she believed her husband was having a heart attack. An ambulance was requested for her husband. He was transported to Fairfax hospital in a non-life threatening condition.
