Texas Donuts To Hold Ribbon Cutting With Vienna Mayor Linda Colbert

Texas Donuts invites the community to a ribbon cutting for its new Vienna location this week.

VIENNA, VA — Mayor Linda Colbert will be in attendance when Texas Donuts opens its doors Wednesday.

A ribbon cutting for the Vienna location of Texas Donuts will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at 167 Glyndon Street SE. This will be the fourth Texas Donuts location, joining others in Centreville, Manassas and Lorton.

Along with the ribbon cutting, the opening will feature networking and coffee and donuts while supplies last. Residents and community leaders are invited to attend.

Texas Donuts dates back to 2002, specializing in Texas-style donuts and kolaches, a type of Texas-Czech pastry. The menu includes basic donuts, character donuts, specialty donuts, croughnuts, savory kolaches and croissant sandwiches. The Northern Virginia-based brand is expanding under owner Hoang Ton, a Vietnamese American entrepreneur who has recently honored by the Asian American Chamber of Commerce's 40 Under 40.

"We are honored to welcome Mayor Colbert to celebrate this special milestone with us," said Ton in a statement. "Vienna is known for its vibrant community and strong support for local businesses. We're excited to become a part of this town and continue contributing to the local economy."

The 167 Glyndon Street SE space formerly hosted MidnighTreats. MidnighTreats can still be found at Arlington, Alexandria and College Park, Maryland locations. Plans to relocate the Reston location to Reston Town Center are in the works.
