Thanks To Fairfax County Master Gardeners: 30 Days Of Gratitude

A Dunn Loring resident gives thanks to the Fairfax County Master Gardeners, which has helped with gardening knowledge and meeting friends.

VIENNA, VA — Throughout November, we are inviting readers to share their gratitude for others. On Vienna Patch, Dunn Loring resident Darla Anderson expressed gratitude for the Fairfax County Master Gardener group.

The Fairfax County Master Gardeners Association is a membership-based nonprofit that provides horticultural information to home gardeners. Programs provided by the association include Plant Clinics, from May through September, the Virginia Cooperative Extension Horticultural Helpline, Ready, Set, Grow school instructional program, the Home Turf health lawns program, and expert speakers to provide to garden clubs or other organizations.

Here's the message Anderson shared about the Master Gardeners group:

I am thankful for my Fairfax County Master Gardener group. I have been a part of this group for over 21 years. It has enriched my knowledge of gardening as well as allowed me to meet new gardening friends, many who have a vast knowledge of gardening. It has allowed me to serve in my community helping other gardeners with their questions at plant clinics. I am grateful for this wonderful group of individuals and our amazing extension agent, Adria Bordas as well as David Yost who procures our speakers each year.
