Town of Vienna Police Officers Receive Awards
Officers Ara Post and Brad Reedy receive 2016 V.A.S.A.P./M.A.D.D. awards.

Last week Town of Vienna Police Officers Ara Post and Brad Reedy were honored for their enforcement efforts against drunk and impaired driving. The Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (V.A.S.A.P.) in Fairfax County and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) held its 25th Annual Awards for Excellence in Community Service and Safety at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly.
The ceremony honored many local police officers and deputy sheriffs from various agencies. Every year since 1991 V.A.S.A.P. and M.A.D.D. have honored area law enforcement officers and others for their efforts in the education, prevention and enforcement of the driving while impaired laws of the Commonwealth.

Officer Post has been a member of the Vienna Police Department since 2015. In addition to her duties as a patrol officer, Officer Post plans to increase her responsibilities to include Intoxilzer Operator for the Commonwealth of Virginia and Bicycle Patrol Officer.
Officer Reedy has been a member of the Vienna Police Department since 2013. In addition to his duties as a patrol officer, Officer Reedy is also an Intoxilyzer Operator for the Commonwealth of Virginia, a R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) instructor, and a Bicycle Patrol Officer.
