Vienna Area Residents Give Most To Romney
As Tuesday primary approaches, data shows majority of donations to Romney, more than average to Paul

Vienna residents have contributed more than $158,000 to presidential campaigns during the 2012 election cycle.
As of March 2, Former Gov. Mitt Romney’s campaign had received $69,100 from residents in the 22180, 22181 and 22182 ZIP codes, according to information at Opensecrets.org.
President Barack Obama’s campaign has received the second-highest amount of contributions from residents in those zip codes, with about $66,446.

The Virginia Republican Presidential Primary election will be held on Tuesday, but only Romney and Paul will appear on the ballot.
Vienna residents gave U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) nearly half of his estimated donations across zip codes in Patch's coverage area: They contributed $12,681 across Vienna; he received about that amount total from Patch zip codes countywide.

Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and U.S. Rep. Newt Gingrich’s (R-Georgia) received less than $6,000 each.
Fairfax County residents have donated a total of more than $1 million to presidential campaigns.
More than half of those dollars have gone to Romney’s campaign, which has gained a total of about $639,100 from Fairfax County residents in Patch's coverage area. Obama has received the second-highest number of donations, with about $514,446.
Gingrich has received about $62,750 total from those residents, while Paul and Santorum have collected about $24,681 and $21,350 respectively.
Polls are open between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday.
