Vienna Little League Team Wins Tournament of State Champions
Vienna American 11's All Stars were undefeated in the tournament, bringing Vienna Little League its first regional championship since 1972.
VIENNA, VA — The Vienna Little League's American 11's All Stars captured the championship title at the Tournament of State Champions in Wilson, North Carolina Wednesday.
The AL 11's All Stars, also known as the Big Red Machine, defeated Greenville Tar Heel Little League 2-1 in the championship game to win the southeast regional championship. The team was undefeated in the tournament, winning over Georgia in the semifinal, as well as Bridgeport Little League, Greenville Tar Heel Little League and Durham South Little League in pool games.
"Vienna Little League is incredibly proud of these boys and the coaching staff for an incredible run," Vienna Little League shared on its website. "They competed with class, dignity and a tenacious competitive fire that brought home a regional championship to Vienna for the first time since 1972."

Case McClure led off the scoring with a game-tying home run in the second inning, according to the little league's website. In the fifth inning, After Carson Park hit a single, Sean Ying's double gave him the game-winning run.
Paxton Leon started the game as pitcher, allowing five hits and one run on 83 pitches. Relief pitcher Adam Kressin got the game-winning out by getting a ground ball to Brady Kang at third base.

Members of the championship-winning team are: Ryne Aimone, Charlie Jreige, Brady Kang, Jack Kang, Adam Kressin, Paxton Leon, Case McClure, Adam Moser, Carson Park, Brayden Powell, Aiden Raines, Bradley Schroeder and Sean Ying, along with manager Chris Leggett and coaches Scott Leishear and Steve Tucker.
