Vienna Man Faces Felony Hit and Run, DWI Charges: Police
Also in latest report: Police investigate possible inappropriate photos on social media, construction noise violation, girl's bike stolen.

VIENNA, VA --A Vienna man is facing felony hit and run charges after police say he fled the scene of an accident Saturday night. The suspect, 52, is charged with Felony Hit & Run and Driving While Intoxicated, after the crash Saturday at about 8:48 p.m. in the 100 block of Maple Avenue East.
Town of Vienna Police Ofc. Hylinski responded to a report of an accident involving three vehicles. When he arrived, he found the driver of one of the vehicles had fled the scene on foot, leaving his vehicle unattended in the roadway, police said.
The drivers of the other vehicles were able to provide a description of the driver who fled. Sgt. Sheeran located the driver near Church Street. Police say the officer, after speaking with the driver, detected signs of possible impairment. After failing to complete a series of field sobriety tests, Ofc. Hylinski arrested the man from Mendon Lane, SW Vienna, for Felony Hit & Run and Driving While Intoxicated.

INCIDENTS
Grand Larceny 16-009529: 200 Block West Street, NW Between October 26 8:00 p.m. and October 27 8:00 a.m. A resident reported his daughter’s bicycle was stolen from his unlocked garage.
Police Service 16-009447 1100 Block Moorefield Hill Court, SW November 4 2:52 p.m. A resident brought two firearms and ammunition to the Vienna Police Station for destruction.
Domestic Dispute 16-009503 Wolf Trap Hotel 430 Maple Avenue, West November 5 11:33 p.m. Officers responded to the lobby of the hotel for the report of a verbal domestic dispute between a man and a woman. The woman agreed to leave the hotel without further incident.
Welfare Check 16-009510 Wolf Trap Hotel 16-009510 430 Maple Avenue, West November 6 3:24 p.m. A woman, calling from outside of the United States, requested a welfare check on her husband who was staying at the hotel. Sgt. Sheeran determined the man had been arrested in another jurisdiction. The woman was advised of her husband’s location.
Domestic Assault 16-009522 Old Courthouse Road, NE November 6 11:50 a.m. A resident reported being assaulted by her juvenile daughter. The daughter had left the residence before officers arrived. No visible injuries were noticeable on the resident.
Arrest – Warrant Service 16-009551 600 Block Orrin Street, SE November 7 6:56 p.m. MPO Smith received information regarding a warrant for a resident. He arrested the 47 year old man for Probation Violation, and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Found Property 16-009553 200 Block Maple Avenue, West November 7 7:42 p.m. A citizen turned in a wallet that he had found on top of an ATM machine. The wallet will be held at the Vienna Police Station for the owner to retrieve.
Petit Larceny 16-009572 1000 Block Echols Street, SE Between November 7 at 5:30 p.m. and November 8 at 8:30 a.m. A resident reported that someone rummaged through their vehicle while it was parked in her driveway. US currency and other various items were stolen.
Assist EMS 16-009563 100 Block Tapawingo Road, SE November 8 7:38 a.m. Officers responded to a residence with rescue personnel for an elderly female in need of medical assistance. The female was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Found Property 16-009573 100 Block Church Street, NW November 8 3:52 p.m. The owner of a business reported a bicycle that had been left abandoned in the stairwell of the building where her business is located. The bicycle will be held at the Vienna Police Station until an owner is identified.
Suspicious Event 16-009585 Cedar Lane School 101 Cedar Lane, SW November 9 12:15 p.m. School administrators reported that students were sending inappropriate pictures to each other through social media. This case is being investigated.
Noise Violation 16-009600 900 Block Circle Drive, SE November 10 12:23 a.m. A resident reported a complaint involving construction noise in the area. Ofc. Hylinski located a contractor working on a home under construction and advised him of the Town’s noise ordinance.
