As Santa's Ride Approaches, Toy Donations For Children Collected In Vienna
Toys and other gifts for children in need and pediatric hospital patients are being collected in Vienna for Santa's Ride.
VIENNA, VA — Vienna Police will once again be part of the motorcycle brigade delivering toys to sick children in local hospitals. To make that happen, toy donations are needed from the community.
Through the annual Santa's Ride, law enforcement agencies around Northern Virginia team up to make the toy deliveries. The toy drive provides donated gifts to pediatric patients in local hospitals and children in need.
Vienna residents can donate new, unwrapped toys, games, books and gifts for Santa’s Ride at the Vienna Police Department, 215 Center St. S; the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St., SE; or Vienna Town Hall, 127 Center St. S, during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Donations are due by 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Santa's Ride deliveries will happen on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Police officers on motorcycles from around the region will escort Santa to local schools and government buildings to pick up the donated items and deliver them to hospitals and children in need Participating agencies are Fairfax County Police Department, Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, City of Fairfax Police Department, Falls Church Sheriff’s Office, Herndon Police Department, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, Vienna Police Department and Virginia State Police.
