Vienna’s Church of the Good Shepherd Welcomes New Pastor

The Church of the Good Shepherd, a United Methodist church in Vienna, will welcome new pastor Eric Song on July 3. The congregation also will host a reception for The Rev. Song and his wife Heather following its 10:15 a.m. worship service.

The Rev. Song comes from Market Street United Methodist Church in Winchester, where he served for the last three years. He previously served on the pastoral staff at Trinity United Methodist Church in McLean and New Creation UMC in Chesapeake. A second-generation Korean-American, he also has led English ministry services at two Korean-American churches.

The Rev. Song, a Chicago native, is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and received his master’s in divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond. He serves God not only from the pulpit, but through his love of music as an avid guitarist (and collector of handmade guitars).
