Vienna Town Council, Mayoral Election 2023: All 6 Seats Up For Grabs

All six Vienna Town Council seats and mayor are up for grabs in the Nov. 7 election, and four newcomers are on the ballot.

VIENNA, VA — The Vienna Town Council and mayor will be on the ballot for Town of Vienna voters on Nov. 7, 2023. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.

All Vienna Town Council seats, including mayor and six Town Council members, are up for election. Town Council elections used to happen in May, but that changed under a new Virginia election law. Previously, Town Council had staggered two-year terms with elections held in May.

Incumbents running for re-election are Charles "Chuck" Anderson, Ray Brill and Howard Springsteen. Newcomers seeking a seat are Jessica Ramakis, Roy Baldwin, Sandra Allen and Shelley Mount Joy.

Elizabeth Korondy is no longer running for Town Council, and Beth Eachus has a write-in campaign, according to the Gazette Leader.

In the mayoral race, incumbent Linda Colbert is unopposed.

Vienna Town Council sets policies for the Town of Vienna, including the town's annual budget. The new Council will take effect after a major zoning code update has already been completed. Some issues, such as parking, still need to be addressed in the zoning code update.

Other Fairfax County races include Board of Supervisors district and chairman races, School Board at-large and district races, Commonwealth's Attorney, Sheriff, Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District, Virginia Senate and Virginia House.

To vote on Election Day, visit your assigned polling place during polling hours. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day — Tuesday, Nov. 7. An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person in Virginia.
