Vienna's Clarity Restaurant Makes Washington Post Fall Dining Guide for Second Year

VIENNA, VA -- At three stars, Vienna's own Clarity restaurant is the Washington Post's second-highest rated of the seven Virginia restaurants on the list, behind only the iconic Inn at Little Washington. The newspaper's official Fall Dining Guide, which will be out on Sunday by restaurant critic Tom Sietsema, names Clarity among 51 restaurants.

Clarity earned three stars (the same as last year), one of 14 restaurants on the list to earn that many (only 10 restaurants earned 3.5 or 4 stars). What the Post had to say: "Since Clarity set sail with two fine-dining veterans, Jonathan Krinn and Jason Maddens, the American bistro has been serving food that’s as approachable as it is polished. Look for designer chicken presented as a roulade and flanked with light-as-can-be buttermilk biscuits, or perhaps a pristine bouillabaisse that collects sea treasures, each element tasting as if tended to by its own careful cook."

Clarity, located at 442 Maple Ave. East, Vienna, was among 16 on the list to make the annual guide two years in a row. Read what the Post had to say about Clarity here.

• The iconic Inn at Little Washington came in with four stars; located in Washington, Va.
• Peter Chang in Arlington earned 2.5 stars
• Field & Main in Marshall, Va., which just opened on Labor Day, earned 2.5 stars
• Afghan Bistro earned a spot in the dining guide, with two stars, located at 8081-D Alban Rd., Springfield
• Banh Mi DC Sandwich also earned a spot in the dining guide, with two stars, located at 3103 Graham Rd., Suite C, Falls Church
• Red Truck Bakery, two stars, Marshall, Va.
