Coach Justin Bowen could not be prouder of the Warhawks. “This inaugural season for the JMHS Warhawks Flag Football team was more than just a beginning; it reflected the strength, unity, and determination of a team laying the groundwork for future success. Along the way, we experienced both the thrill of victory and the sting of defeat, and through it all, we learned what it truly means to grow—as players, teammates, and leaders. Every practice, every game, and every challenge helped shape a team identity rooted in character and resilience.”
Madison was led by 14 seniors who were recognized on November 5th in a traditional “Senior Night” highlighted with posters, banners, introductions, reflections, and family escorts. While the seniors provided experience and maturity in the first year of the program, Coach Bowen recognized that “…leadership came from every corner of the roster—players stepping up, supporting each other, and setting a tone of accountability and pride that will carry forward for years to come.”

Most of the girls on the team are multi-sport athletes and will go on to compete in their respective winter and spring sports, that said, many are already talking about a return to the gridiron next season. Coach Bowen summed up the season with with high accolades for the entire team and a look to the future, “Mike (Coach Brennan) , Robbie (Coach Robeson), and I couldn’t be prouder of how these athletes showed up every day with heart, hustle, and a deep commitment to one another. The lessons we’ve taken from this season will stay with us far beyond the field. The future of this program is still unwritten, but what’s certain is that each of you were the ones who started it. This season was a success in every sense, and it marks the beginning of a legacy we’re proud to be part of.”
