Ground broken in Virginia Beach on subsea cable fiber optic project (wavy.com) — A Virginia Beach-based company has started building new subsea cable tunnels that will more than double capacity at the Corporate Landing Business Park and expand the Sandbridge landing site. Globalinx’s project will boost Virginia’s subsea data capacity by over 400%, strengthening Hampton Roads’ role in global internet traffic and future AI and cloud services.

It’s one of six Sentara hospitals statewide honored for strong outcomes, low intervention rates, and robust breastfeeding support, reflecting the system’s focus on safe, patient-centered births.
