Alexandria Sheriff's Office Welcomes Six New Deputies

Six new Alexandria deputy sheriffs were sworn into office Friday at the Alexandria courthouse.

Clerk of Circuit Court Edward Semonian administered the oath of office to Christopher Boucher, Joseph Bowman, Patrick Crossey, Jessica Duenas, Richard Garcia and Steven Shillingburg. Alexandria Sheriff Dana Lawhorne issued the new deputies their stars and credentials.

The new deputies will begin training at the William G. Truesdale Adult Detention Center before attending the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy next year.
