City Seeks Input on West End Parks
A meeting on the future of Ben Brenman and Armistead L. Boothe parks will be held Wednesday.

The Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities wants to hear from the public on the future of Ben Brenman and Armistead L. Boothe parks.
The department will hold a public meeting on the parks’ future at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Samuel Tucker Elementary School, 435 Ferdinand Day Drive. The meeting is part of a nine-month public outreach project to develop management framework plans for the city’s large, multi-use parks.
The city is also developing plans for Four Mile Run Park, Simpson Stadium Park, Chinquapin Park, Hensley Park and Holmes Run Park. The goal of the effort is to study and understand the existing conditions and plan for future needs in each of the parks.
