Pedestrian Struck In West End Alexandria Crash: Police

Alexandria Police said a pedestrian had life-threatening injuries from Monday's crash on S. Van Dorn Street.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A pedestrian was struck in a West End crash Monday, according to Alexandria Police.

The crash happened around 6:36 a.m. Monday in the 500 block of S. Van Dorn Street. Police say the pedestrian was crossing S. Van Dorn Street and was struck by a northbound silver Honda CRV.

The pedestrian, a 42-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Honda CRV remained on the scene. The police department's Crash Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the crash.
