Suspect Fires Gun in Attempt to Steal Shoes from Victim in Bailey's Crossroads: Police
Police say the man tried to rob a pedestrian of his shoes Tuesday night in Bailey's Crossroads, but the victim refused.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- A man shot a gun into the air Tuesday night in the Bailey's Crossroads area in an attempt to get a pedestrian to hand over his shoes, but police said the victim refused.
The incident took place Tuesday night at about 8:06 p.m. in the 3800 block of S. George Mason Drive in the county's Bailey's Crossroads area (see map below). Officers responded to a report of a man brandishing a pistol at another man, police said Wednesday. The suspect demanded the victim’s shoes, but the victim refused. The suspect shot one round into the air and fled, police said. The victim was not injured.
The suspect was described as a black, around 32 years old.
