Update: Duke Street Open Following Water Main Break Repairs

Update - When Patch drove through the area around 7:30 a.m. Monday, Duke Street was completely reopened to traffic.

Virginia American Water is responding to a water main break at 4600 Duke Street, according to a City of Alexandria release.

Duke Street will be down to one lane in each direction while repairs are made. Work is expected to be completed around 6 a.m. Monday morning. If repairs take longer, the issue could complicate the morning commute along Duke Street.
