WINCHESTER, VA — Votes are being counted in the City of Winchester for a City Council member to represent the First Ward. The race features two Republican candidates, Katherine Jordan and Brandon Pifer.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. and closed at 7 p.m.

As of the latest update received at 9:01 PM Eastern Time, a total of 546 votes have been counted. Brandon Pifer is currently in the lead with 355 votes, while Katherine Jordan has received 191 votes. The voting breakdown is as follows:

  • Katherine Jordan (Republican) - Total votes: 191
    • Absentee/Early Votes: 51
    • Election Day Votes: 140
  • Brandon Pifer (Republican) - Total votes: 355
    • Absentee/Early Votes: 100
    • Election Day Votes: 255
