Here are the top three stories in Winchester today:

  1. A man from Winchester was sentenced to 24 months in prison after pleading guilty to giving false information during a firearm purchase. The firearm was later linked to a deadly shooting in Washington D.C. Investigators used security footage and receipts to determine that Oxner bought the firearm using a relative's debit card and later found another firearm purchased by Oxner in an unrelated search warrant in Washington D.C. (WRIC)
  2. Celtic Fest is returning to Old Town Winchester, featuring a variety of vendors and activities celebrating Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and Breton culture. Vendors include artisan vendors and jewelry makers, while performances and demonstrations will feature traditional Celtic music, dance, and instruments. Local businesses will also offer entertainment and specials throughout the day. (Winchester Virginia)
  3. The City of Winchester is hosting a workshop on Saturday, Mar. 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Rouss City Hall. Attendees can learn about how funding is allocated for capital improvements, how public schools are funded, and how budget decisions are made. The workshop aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the budget process and to answer questions from attendees. (Old Town Winchester)
