15, 18-year-old Arrested in Attempted Residential Burglary

Two 18 and 15-year-old suspects were arrested Tuesday following an attempted robbery at Dondis Creek Drive in Triangle, Va.

Prince William County officers responded Tuesday to a report of a burglary in progress around 8:30 a.m. at the 3300 block of Dondis Creek Drive in Triangle, Va.

The homeowner told police she was inside her residence when two unknown men forcibly entered through a basement door. The homeowner locked herself in a bedroom and called police.

Officers arrived and surrounded the home. Police encountered the two suspects inside the residence. One was detained without further incident while the other attempted to flee on foot. The fleeing suspect ran out of the front door and was quickly detained by additional officers.

No property was reported missing. Following an investigation, both suspects were arrested.

Cody Michael Crenshaw, 18, of Dumfries, was charged with burglary, destruction of property, possession of burglarious tools and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 1 and is being held on a $30,000 bond.

A 15-year-old male juvenile, also of Dumfries, was charged with burglary and destruction of property. He is being held at a juvenile detention facility with a pending court date.
