Virginia Man Slashed While Fixing Fence, Fires Back As Masked Attacker Flees: Police (dailyvoice.com) — A Woodbridge resident repairing a fence on Hemingway Drive was slashed by a masked man who called him by name, then fled as the victim fired two shots that hit a parked car. Police say the attack does not appear random and the suspect, described as a light‑skinned Black man in a black hoodie and ski mask, remains at large. Anyone with information is urged to contact Prince William County Police.
   

5. Patriot boys improve to 6-0: Dec. 18 basketball roundup (insidenova.com) — Woodbridge High’s boys and girls basketball teams both fell to Patriot in Thursday’s non-district matchups, with the boys losing 89–49 and the girls edged 39–34. Woodbridge standout Zoey Coffer left the girls game early with an injury, while teammates like Aysleen Paulino stepped up on the boards in a tough, defense-heavy contest.
