WOODBRIDGE, VA—Two boys were arrested last week for threatening to bomb their respective schools in Prince William County, according to Prince William County Police. Neither threat, however, was deemed credible.

A 12-year-old who attends Potomac Middle School at 3130 Panther Pride Drive in Dumfries, and a 15-year-old who attends Hylton High at 14051 Spriggs Road in Woodbridge, were both charged with knowingly communicating a false threat to bomb.

In the Potomac Middle School incident, March 21, a School Resource Officer received information about a potential threat. An investigation found that the student disrupted class by making statements of potential violence to other students. The SRO identified the student, investigated and arrested him.
