Burger King Now Open in Lake Ridge

After a few months of delays, the Burger King near Tackett's mill has finally reopened.

After , the Burger King near Tackett's Mill is now open and operating, as of the afternoon of Aug. 25. 

"We finally did it. We made it," owner and operator Ron Devine said. "I feel like I finally did something." 

The Burger King was originally scheduled to , but delays in construction and the permitting process pushed the opening date to , then , and finally .

Devine said that Mike May's office and Corey Stewart's office deserved credit for their assistance in getting the business through the permitting process. 

"I thank all the construction people and engineers and all the help that we had to get this together," Devine said.

Devine hopes to have a grand opening in mid or late September.

"I'd like to operate for about a month before we actually do it," he said. 

The Burger King's crew is new and they're still being trained. 

"We're hoping to have the fanciest drive-thru in the area," he said.
