Car Crash Into Woodbridge Home Traps 2 Resident Inside

Two homes were deemed unsafe to occupy due to vehicle crash damages, displacing 12 people.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A car crashed into a house in Woodbridge Friday morning, trapping two residents inside, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue.

Around 10:30 a.m., the fire department responded to the 3400 block of Belfry Lane, where a vehicle struck a building. Units found a car that hit a townhouse after damaging another home across the street.

Two people were trapped inside the townhouse's upper level due to the crash damage. Firefighters used ladders to rescue the two residents from the upper floor.

The driver was taken to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries.

The building official determined the two affected houses were unsafe to occupy, displacing eight adults and four children.
