Boat Parades, Winterfest, Holiday Market Highlight Packed DC, NoVA Weekend

VIRGINIA — The holiday season is well underway in Northern Virginia and D.C., bringing plenty of festive events this weekend.

Among the highlights of the weekend are holiday parades like Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade and Holiday Boat Parade of Lights in Alexandria, DC's Holiday Boat Parade and Party, Greater Manassas Christmas Parade in Manassas, Christmas in Middleburg, and the Fredericksburg Christmas Parade.

There's still a chance to see some tree lightings, such as the Santa Lights Manassas and Tree Lighting, Rosslyn Cheer: Light the Plaza, Del Ray Holiday Season Kick-Off, Purcellville Town Tree Lighting, Dulles Town Center Tree Lighting Celebration, Herndon Holiday Tree Lighting & Sing-Along, Leesburg Holiday Tree Lighting and One Loudoun Tree Lighting.

Holiday lights are ongoing attractions that residents can enjoy throughout the season. The free Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park in Woodbridge opens Friday.
