Dumfries Child Found Unresponsive in Hotel Pool Near Kings Dominion

HANOVER, VA — A boy who died after found unresponsive in a hotel pool near Kings Dominion has been identified as a Prince William County resident, according to the Hannover County Sheriff's Office.

Giovanne Samuel Ofuso Antwi, 5, of Dumfries, was found Saturday afternoon in the pool at the Days Inn Doswell. He was rushed to the VCU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators are reviewing the circumstances surrounding Antwi's death, according to a HCSO statement. The cause of death has not been determined.
