Dumfries Robbers At Large After Late-Night Holdup: Police
Two men robbed a victim at gunpoint early Tuesday in Dumfries and then fled, say Prince William County police.

DUMFRIES, VA — The Prince William County police are searching for two robbers who held up a man early Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Dumfries, and then left the scene in a car driven by a third man.
At 1:06 a.m. Tuesday, police officers responded to the 17100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1) to investigate a robbery, according to a police report.
The victim, an unidentified 42-year-old man, told the police that he was walking in that area when he was approached and assaulted by two other men.

One man pulled out a firearm and demanded the victim's money, the police said. They did not identify the type of firearm.
The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money from the victim before fleeing in a white four-door sedan driven by a third man.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. He was unable to describe the assailants, the police said.
