Elevated Fire Threat Friday
Gusty winds, low fuel moisture and low relative humidity enhance threat for wildfires Friday.

The National Weather Service said there is an enhanced threat for wildfires on Friday afternoon due to a combination of gusty winds, low fuel moisture and low relative humidity.
NWS said the relative humidity will drop to between 20 and 30 percent east of the Allegheny front. "Despite some rainfall Thursday night, fuel moisture remains relativley low," said NWS. "Open burning of any type is considered very hazardous this time of year. Accidential escaped debris burns are the number one cause of wildfires."
