Felony Child Neglect Charge For Drunk Driver In Woodbridge: Cops

A drunk driver was arrested after being pulled over in Woodbridge and found with a 6-year-old girl in her vehicle, according to PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A drunk driver was arrested early Monday, April 8, after being pulled over in the area of Old Bridge Road near Cavalier Drive and found with a 6-year-old girl in her vehicle, according to Prince Willilam County Police. Miriam Nohemi Nunez-Padilla, 40, of the 12600 block of Dulcinea Place, was charged with felony child neglect and driving while intoxicated.

Shortly before 12:15 a.m., police stopped a vehicle after it failed to maintain its traffic lane. An investigation found the driver—Nunez-Padilla—was under the influence of alcohol. The child wasn't harmed and was released to the custody of another family member.
