Future Woodbridge Area Elementary School's Principal Appointed
The not-yet-named Woodbridge area school under construction has gained a new principal from another elementary school.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A principal has been appointed for the future Woodbridge area elementary school opening in the 2026-2027 school year.
Brooke LeVecchi, the principal of Neabsco Elementary School since May 2023, was appointed as the future school's principal, effective Jan. 5, 2026. Levecchi has also served roles like assistant principal, administrative intern, instructional technology coach and teacher over her career.
According to Prince William County Public Schools, Neabsco Elementary has seen Standards of Learning test scores increase in several content areas and launched the All In Tutoring program to provide academic support, Franklin Covey’s Leader in Me program and "House System: Five Houses, One Home." LeVecchi has a master’s degree in new professional studies, a certificate in education leadership and supervision from George Mason University bachelor's degree in education from Fairmont State University.

PWCS broke ground in April 2024 on the new elementary school at Route 1 and Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge near Fred Lynn Middle School. Originally intended to open in the 2025-2026 school year, the school's opening was delayed to the following school year. A school renaming committee is expected to provide school name suggestions to the Prince William County School Board before the school's opening.
PWCS is also constructing a new elementary school to serve the growing Potomac Shores community.
