Home Damaged in Large Fire in Woodbridge

One firefighter suffered minor burns in Occoquan Road blaze, according to OWL Volunteer Fire Department.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A home under renovations was damaged in a fire Tuesday night, according to the

Occoquan Woodbridge Lorton VFD.

At 845 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to fire call at the home at 13412 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge.

Initial units arrived on scene within minutes and reported fire showing from the first and second floor, according to an OWL release.

Firefighters were driven out of the home as they were fighting the fire on the second floor, due to fears the roof would collapse. The fire was put out within 50 minutes.

One firefighter suffered minor burns and was treated at a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s office.
