I-95 Lane Closures Planned In Prince William County Through Late Winter

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Lane closures starting Monday will impact Interstate 95 in the Dale City-Woodbridge area, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The lane closures will be on northbound and southbound general lanes of I-95 near the bridges over Neabsco Creek, which is around mile marker 155.7. That is between Route 234 (Exit 152) and Dale Boulevard/Route 786 (Exit 156). VDOT says the lane closures are due to bridge-related geotechnical work to prepare for the I-95 southbound over Neabsco Creek bridge replacement project starting in mid-2027.

Work will begin Monday weather permitting and continue until late winter. At least one southbound lane and at least two northbound lanes will be open at all times. Drivers should plan for delays and should consider alternate routes, according to VDOT.

The schedule below reflects the times when lane closures are permitted to occur. VDOT says lanes may not be closed every single day.

One lane closed on southbound I-95

• Mondays: 12 a.m. to 5 a.m., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
• Tuesdays: 12 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
• Wednesdays: 12 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
• Thursdays: 12 a.m. to 5:30 a.m., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
• Fridays: 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. to noon
• Sundays: 10 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Two lanes closed on southbound I-95

• Mondays: 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. and 10 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
• Tuesdays: 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
• Wednesdays: 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
• Thursdays: 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
