Man Killed Outside Car Wash In Woodbridge: Police

The gunman fled but was quickly apprehended by state police, authorities said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man was shot and killed outside a car wash Saturday in Woodbridge, according to police.

The victim was identified as Earl Duwan Miller, 54, of Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.

The accused gunman, Jermaine Antwoine Lewis, 25, of Springfield, is charged with second-degree murder, felony use of a gun and shooting from an occupied vehicle, according to police. Vinisha Lanisa Neville, 29, of Woodbridge, is charged with brandishing a gun, police said.

Officers responded shortly before 4 p.m. to Sonic Soft Car Wash in the 14100 block of Richmond Highway, outside of which Miller and Lewis had a verbal dispute, separated briefly, then had an altercation that turned physical, with Lewis shooting Miller in the upper body, according to police. Neville was also accused of brandishing a gun, police said. An exterior wall of a building was hit by gunfire, according to police.

Miller was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries, according to police. Lewis and Neville fled in a vehicle and were quickly apprehended by state police along Interstate 95 in Fairfax County and arrested after an investigation, authorities said.
