Man In Stolen Vehicle Busted After Chase In Woodbridge: Police
A man was arrested after being found in a stolen vehicle and then assaulting an officer who gave chase in Woodbridge, say PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man was arrested Monday after being found in a stolen vehicle and then assaulting an officer who gave chase in the area of Georgetown Road and Wetherburn Court, according to Prince William County Police. Devonte Lee Ivy, 18, of the 3200 block of Eagle Ridge Circle in Woodbridge, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice.
Around 8:30 a.m., an officer investigating parking complaints in the area was approached by a female. She said she had just found her stolen vehicle parked in the area. When the officer approached it, an unknown man sitting in the driver's seat suddenly bolted.
When the officer caught him shortly thereafter, a struggle ensued and Ivy broke free after assaulting the officer. Following a foot chase, he was caught after entering a home in the 16600 block of Sutton Place. Minor injuries were reported.
