Nokesville Man Dies After Single-Car Crash In Woodbridge: Police
A Nokesville man died on Thursday from injuries he suffered in a Woodbridge car crash on Saturday, the police department said.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A Nokesville man died on Thursday from injuries he suffered in a Woodbridge car crash on Saturday, the Prince William County Police Department said. Investigators are now looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
Authorities identified the deceased man as 35-year-old Edward Wayne Mudd, Jr. No other injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on Saturday in the 5300 block of Davis Ford Road in Woodbridge. Investigators said Mudd was driving a 1994 Honda Civic westbound at a high speed. He eventually lost control, drove into the oncoming lanes, and left the roadway, the police report said.

The Honda then struck a tree before stopping, according to authorities.
First responders took Mudd to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The police department said Mudd was not wearing a seat belt. Authorities believe speed and impairment may have been factors in the crash.
