Rain delay from Monday pushed the Potomac Nationals into a two-game duel against Myrtle Beach

The took on the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in a doubleheader Tuesday, but the Pelicans shut out the P-Nats in the second game.
Playing in Woodbridge, VA Tuesday, the two games marked the first in the series of three against the Pelicans.
The P-Nats heavily dominated the first game with five runs. Pelicans' Vincent DiFazio run in the second inning would be the only one the team would score throughout the game.

Keeping with the trend of recent games, Jeff Kobernus, Jose Lozada, J.R. Higley and Steven Souza brought in runs for the P-Nats.
Kobernus kicked off the game with the team's first run in the bottom of the first inning.

P-Nats took the Pelicans, 5-1.
The second game of the day Wednesday proved difficult for the P-Nats as Pelicans Leury Garcia and Ryan Strausborger brought in two runs at the top of the third inning that went unanswered.
P-Nats fell to the Pelicans, 0-2, in the second game.
The series against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans continues Wednesday, with the game starting at 10:30 a.m.
