WOODBRIDGE, VA—A drunk woman passed out in an upstairs bedroom while her three young children were left unsupervised with bottles of booze within reach was arrested Tuesday night at a home in the 14000 block of Dawson Beach Drive, according to Prince William County Police. Michelle Nicole Stanley, 29, of the aforementioned address, was charged with three counts of felony child neglect. She was being held without bond.

Shortly before 7 p.m., police went to the residence "for a service request to check on the welfare of three children believed to be inside the home." When they arrived, an 11-year-old girl eventually answered the door. Police went in and also found a 6-year-old boy and a 2-year-old boy.

A rear door was unsecured, and several bottles of alcohol were within the children's reach. The house was "unkempt and (had) potentially unsafe living conditions for the children." Their mother was found unconscious in an upstairs bedroom and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The children were released to the custody of another family member.
