• County's crisis receiving center is now accepting walk-in patients (princewilliamtimes.com) — A new 24/7 crisis receiving center in Woodbridge is now accepting walk-in patients for mental health and substance-related emergencies, offering an alternative to crowded hospital ERs. Serving greater Prince William and nearby counties, the facility provides short-term crisis stabilization and inpatient care for adults and youth, regardless of insurance status, and expects to treat up to 18,000 people a year. 
• Two regional hospitals mandate masks in high-risk areas amid flu spike (insidenova.com) — Residents using the Sentara hospital in Woodbridge should know masks are now strongly encouraged there, even as Inova and UVA Health mandate masking in certain high-risk areas. With flu and other respiratory illnesses surging, hospitals report crowded emergency rooms and urge people with mild symptoms to use primary care, urgent care, or virtual visits instead.
