Pet of the Week: Adopt Baxter

See one of the great animals available at the Prince William County Animal Shelter. Plus, more shelter info.

Each week, Prince William County Animal Shelter spotlights an animal ready for adoption.

Baxter is between 8 and 10 years old, around 36 pounds, and "was returned to the shelter because his people didn't feel he was a good fit for them after all," according to a post on the shelter's Facebook page.

"This Beagle boy hasn't forgotten the days of his youth, and while he might not suit in a family with other small pets, Baxter is said to do well with kids," the post notes.
