Police Blotter: Woman Deflates Tire with Knife, Caller Files False Report

The following arrest information was supplied by the Prince William County police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police arrested a 22-year-old woman Thursday following a domestic incident. 

A 48-year-old Woodbridge woman reported to police that a known acquainance – Rosheta Warfenia Chase – had forced her way into her residence after being told she could not enter.

The woman told police that when she tried to call the police, Chase allegedly ripped the phone from the wall. Chase allegedly grabbed a knife before pushing the woman against the wall and threatening her. 

Police reports said the woman was able to run from the residence in the 100 block of Gordon Boulevard but Chase followed her. Chase then allegedly used the knife to deflate a tire on the woman’s vehicle. Chase fled the scene but was located by officers a short distance away. No injuries were reported.

Chase is charged with unlawful wounding, burglary, domestic assault and battery, destruction of property and petit larceny.

Her court date and bond information are not available.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm

Two Woodbridge residents were arrested after police responded to 15000 block of Sunny Ridge Court for a shooting. 

A caller initially reported to police that she and another person were sitting in their living room when they heard a loud bang. After hearing the bang, a bullet hole was discovered in their door.

As police were investigating the incident, a second bullet hole was found in a neighboring residence. No injuries were reported from the second residence. It was later discovered that the shots were actually fired from within the caller’s house and than the other person had fired a handgun accidentally.

The caller, Sadeeka Schoolfield, 27, of Sunny Ridge Court, was arrested and charged with filing a false police report. Her court date is set for Feb. 22 and she was released on personal recognizance.

The other person in the residence, Maurice Lamont Gordon, 25, of Sunny Ridge Court was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and filing a false police report. His court date is also set for Feb. 22 and he was held on a $5,000 secured bond.
