Police Make Arrests in 11 Connected Burglaries

Jefferson Davis Highway burglaries in January are considered closed cases by police. The following arrest information comes from the Prince William County police department.

Prince William County police have arrested three Woodbridge residents in 11 connected burglary cases in the Route 1 corridor. 

Police announced Friday that two 16-year-old suspects and Devon Nathaniel Boone were arrested following overnight burglaries. 

A warrant is on file for the fourth suspect, Andre Lamont Wright, of Woodbridge.

Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said that police recovered evidence during a burglary at Wok and Pho on Jan. 10 that lead detectives to link the burglary to a juvenile suspect, other reported burglaries and the identities of the other three suspects.

Police said the suspects have been linked to some, not all, of the reported burglaries. One 16-year-old faces seven counts of burglary; the other has three counts of burglary and one count of grand larceny. Boone is charged with possession of stolen property and continuing to the delinquency of a minor. Wright is wanted for three counts of burglary, one count of grand larceny and one count of petit larceny.

Burglaries were reported at the following businesses in this case:

  • Attempted burglary at Ghanaman International African Market on Jan. 16 where employees found a window was broken overnight.
  • Money was reported missing from the in Dale City on Jan. 5. 
  • Money was reported missing from the Wok N Pho in Dale City on Jan. 9, entry was made through a broken glass window. 
  • No money was reported stolen from  on Jan. 12, but police came to the business after an alarm was tripped. 
  • Money was stolen from Farm Café off of Featherstone Road was reported missing on Jan. 13, a window was broken out.
  • Police responded to Cigar Zone for an alarm on Jan. 14 and discovered a front glass door was damaged.
  • A glass door at Caribbean Carry Out had been broken out on Jan. 14, money was reported missing
  • While investigating the Cigar Zone alarm, police found another broken out door at Ali Grocery, Gifts and Spices. Items and money were missing.
  • No items were reported missing at on Jan. 15 but a glass front door had been broken out and the alarm was trippped. 
  • No items were stolen from the African Queen Salon but attached Fancy Nails and Hair had money stolen on Jan. 16. The two businesses are connected by a sliding glass door.
  • On Jan. 16, China House was missing money and a laptop, a front glass door had been broken out there as well.
