Police: Richmond Man Charged With Indecent Exposure in Dale City

Police charged a Richmond man with indecent exposure after a caller told police that a man was walking down a Dale City street naked, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Lapaul Newell, 57, was arrested March 3. Newell was charged with indecent exposure. 

Police initially responded to Greenwood Drive and Gustus Drive at 8:25 p.m. on March 3 for a report of a suspicious person. The caller told police that an unknown man was walking naked along the street. 

"Officers arrived in the area and located the man, identified as the accused," Perok said. "The accused was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Following the evaluation, the accused was subsequently arrested."

Newell's court date is March 19 and he is being held without bond.
