Prince William County, Manassas Schools Adjust Schedule On Jan. 7
Manassas and Prince William County Public Schools will have a second day of schedule changes from the winter storm.
MANASSAS, VA — Students' winter break just got extended once again due to the winter storm.
Prince William County Public Schools announced it will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 7 due to poor road conditions and additional snow Monday evening. Employees will follow a code red.
Manassas City Public Schools will be closed on Jan. 7, and employees will follow a code blue. Manassas Park Public Schools will be closed, and employees will follow a code red.

The National Weather Service says total snow accumulations will be between 6 and 10 inches, although isolated areas could get up to 12 inches. Traces of ice are also possible. Snow totals collected by National Weather Service trained spotters ranged from 6 inches to 9.5 inches in Prince William County.
The region remains under a winter storm warning until 1 a.m. Tuesday. Snowfall will end Monday night, but road conditions may continue to be hazardous as freezing temperatures linger and snow removal continues.
