Prince William County Resident Dies In Potomac River Drowning: Report
According to reports, an 18-year-old man disappeared amid a strong current in the Potomac River.
DUMFRIES, VA — A man died in a Potomac River drowning after swimming from Prince William County into Maryland waters, according to media reports.
Maryland Natural Resources Police confirmed that Manuel De Jesus Flores Bustillo, 18, of Dumfries, died in the drowning Sunday, according to NBC Washington. Flores Bustillo and friends had been swimming at Cockpit Point in Dumfries and entered Maryland waters at the end of a pier. When the tide and a strong current began affecting the waters, Flores Bustillo did not resurface from underwater.
