Police: Robber Strikes Driver in Commuter Lot With Metal Pipe

The man stole a cell phone and cash from the victim, who was sitting in his car, according to Prince William County Police.

A robber reportedly struck a Woodbridge man with a metal pipe before stealing the victim's cell phone and money, Prince William County Police said. 

Police responded on Thursday at 6:34 a.m. to the commuter lot by Gordon Boulevard and Old Bridge Road, where the victim reported that he was robbed. The 24-year-old victim said that he was sitting in his car in the lot, when an unknown man approached the vehicle and opened the door. 

The man then reportedly struck the victim with a metal pipe and demanded that he hand over his money. He reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a cell phone before getting into a car driven by an unknown female. The two fled the area.

The victim had minor injuries. 

The suspect is described as white, 25-30 years old, about 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, with a muscular build and short hair. He was wearing an A-shirt, brown boots and blue jeans.

The woman was driving a late 2000s model, silver four door sedan, with a green and yellow license plate. The car may have been a Toyota Camry. She was black, 25-30 years old, with a heavy build, and collar length black hair. She was wearing a gray shirt.
