School Board to Review 12th High School Boundary Plan
Prince William County residents may comment on the proposal at the Nov. 5 board meeting.

The Prince William County School Board will meet at the Kelly Leadership Center in Manassas on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. to review and discuss the county’s alternative boundary proposal.
A proposal to revise Prince William County Public Schools’ high school attendance zones came in response to an investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice into the newest school’s student demographic make-up.
Scheduled to open in September 2016, the county’s 12th and newest high school will be located near the Hoadly Road intersection on Dumfries Road. Under the original boundary plan, the school would have a lower percentage of minority students than surrounding high schools, according to a letter from U.S. Department of Justice attorney Kelly D. Gardner.
