Sexual Assault Of Child At Woodbridge Home Prompts Charges: Crime Report

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County Police have wrapped up an investigation of a sexual assault of a child under 13 and responded to other incidents in recent days.

The sexual assault case involved a victim under age 13 on April 16. Police say the sexual assault happened at a residence in the 22121 Woodbridge ZIP code. The victim and suspect are acquainted.

Corey Jevon Cox, 54, of Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery.

Indecent Exposure: On May 11 at 10:53AM, officers responded to Neabsco Regional Park located at 15125 Blackburn Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an indecent exposure. The investigation revealed the victim, a 27-year-old woman, was walking near the baseball fields when she was approached from behind by an unknown man. Upon turning around, the victim observed the man exposing himself and making inappropriate gestures. The victim verbally engaged the suspect who then left the area. At no point during the encounter was there any physical contact between the victim and the suspect.

Suspect Description: Hispanic male, 25-30 years old, 5’10 – 6’0, 200lbs, with black hair and a well-trimmed goatee. Last seen wearing a white sport-jersey-style shirt and black shorts.

Residential Burglary: On May 11 at 12:49PM, officers responded to investigate a burglary that wasreported to have occurred at a residence located in the 14200 block of Fullerton Rd. in Woodbridge (22193) at approximately 3:39AM on May 10. The investigation revealed a masked man entered the home through a rear window that was unsecured. Video footage revealed the suspect, a black male wearing a white face mask and a red sweatshirt took cameras from inside the home before leaving.

Shooting Investigation: On May 10 at 1:06AM, officers responded to the area of Burr Ln. near Minion St. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed sometime during the early morning hours, the victim, a 22-year-old man, was reportedly shot by an unknown man while walking in the above area. Both men left the area before the police were contacted. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries and refused to cooperate further. No additional injuries or property damage were reported. The suspect was described as a masked man in dark-colored clothing.

Aggravated Assault: On May 10 at 9:53PM, officers responded to the 1600 block of Woodside Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an aggravated assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 39-year-old man, was in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men who pushed him down to the ground where he was struck and kicked multiple times. The victim was eventually able to separate from the suspects and fled to a nearby home where police were contacted. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. No additional suspect description was provided.

Abduction | Obtaining Goods by False Pretenses: On May 9, detectives concluded an investigation into an abduction that was reported to have occurred in the 3000 block of Old Bridge Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) on April 30. The investigation revealed the victim, a 47-year-old woman, arranged to purchase a vehicle from an acquaintance, identified as the accused and between April 16-19, paid the accused a sum of money. The accused did not provide a vehicle and on April 30, agreed to repay the victim. The two parties met in the above location where the accused brandished a firearm and threatened the victim. Eventually the accused left the area, and the victim contacted the police. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Zawane Mekel Pasley, who was arrested by Fairfax County police on May 9.

Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor: On May 8 at 6:30PM, officers responded to the 14900 block of Pepper Ct. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a found child. The investigation revealed a Good Samaritan contacted police after locating the victim, a 5-year-old boy, walking outside with minimal clothing and unsupervised. While officers were on the scene, the victim’s mother arrived at the location and met with officers. Further investigation revealed the father of the child, identified as the accused, was caring for the victim, when the victim left the residence unattended. The victim was not injured and released to the custody of known parties. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Aflatoon Robert-Kondololy, was charged.
